How to get to Fernando de Noronha

Conceicao Beach

This beach is the most beloved and popular in Noronha. This is where people meet to spend the afternoon, enjoy the sun, in addition to being very close to Vila dos Remédios, a place with shops and infrastructure. It has a very nice bar called Duda Rei, calm sea and rental of umbrellas and chairs for a reasonable price considering that we are in Fernando de Noronha.

Praia do Cachorro

This small beach, in addition to being very charming and cozy, is the closest to Vila dos Remédios, and is quite frequented by those who stay or live in the region. It is “in the middle” of Cachorro and Conceição beaches. It is quite a large beach, and mostly empty. In the left corner of the beach is a very chic and trendy bar, frequented by artists and celebrities as it is one of the most expensive in the region.

Sancho beach

All of Baía do Sancho has a splendorous and radiant beauty, and even offers the possibility of being contemplated from above, from the Mirante do Sancho. Atalaia Beach

This beach is beyond special! Only 96 people can enter it per day to dive for a maximum of 30 minutes. To get there, only by appointment and using a 45-minute trail. There are 6 groups per day, with 16 participants in each group. As you can imagine, the competition is pretty big, so it’s worth calling and booking early if you’re planning on going to the island.

Diving with Turtles

At Praia do Sudeste, you can swim with sea turtles. There are divers who provide guide services available at PIC Sancho, the same location as the lookout point. Cacimba do Padre beach

This is an important beach in Fernando de Noronha for several reasons: in times of high waves, it is the main venue for surfing championships and is full of tourists and locals practicing the sport; it has a privileged view of two large and well-known stones, called Dois Irmãos; it is a must for anyone going to Baía dos Porcos, as the trail there starts on this beach; in addition to being an amazing beach for diving and snorkeling – also more accessible than Baía dos Porcos.

To get to this beach, the path is more difficult, being necessary to use a trail from Cacimba do Padre. Baía dos Porcos is one of the best places in the world for snorkeling and surface diving, because it has completely transparent waters and a rich marine life.

Boldró beach

It is very similar to Praia da Conceição because it is a similar landform and on the opposite side of it. But with some differentials: it is quieter and less popular than Praia da Conceição, it has less infrastructure, but a natural pool that compensates for the lack of food and drink services.

Sunset at Boldró Fort

This disabled fort, of which only the ruins remain, is the best place to watch Fernando de Noronha’s sunset show. With Dois Irmãos making up the scenery, it seems that the place was designed by nature especially to serve as a point of contemplation of the setting sun. Just be careful with something: Vila do Boldró does not give access to the fort. You need to walk there from Vila da Basinha.

To get around Fernando de Noronha, it is best to use taxis. However, this is also the most expensive option, and getting around the city by bus or on foot can be less difficult than you might think. Therefore, if you are looking to save money, always find out about the available bus options.
